I used my sewing machine as a writing tool, stitching this fragment-poem of my own.
tins of buttons
so many loose thread histories
sorting the past
by colour
The words first appeared in a zine of poems and drawings titled 'quiet lives', published way back in 2009. (I'm currently working on a new poetry zine and I have a poetry notebook you might like to read, if you visit my blog you'll find it).
Stitched on naturally dyed cotton with vintage buttons, on a brown card tag.
This is so very different and I love it. The stitching and words are wonderful. xx
