My first tag is a love letter to my Husband. I took pictures of us and our family and attached chipboard letters on photographs to spell out “Valentine”. I then painted, texturized or in some way altered each picture. On each “letter” I wrote all the words that I could think of that describes my husband or how I love him that begin with that letter. I choose one of those words and emphasized that word. For example, on the “V” I stamped the word “Valuable” on red scrapbook paper that I tore and glue onto the picture. On the back cover, I left a picture of us and then attached a handmade envelope with a note that says, “I love you because you are” and then listed every word that I had written on each page so that he could see all the reasons that I had written. I’m sorry for all the pictures but it was the best way to show what I had done.
My second tag Is “Bee” Mine. I stamped circles on scrapbook paper, then distressed it and cut out a heart. I edged the heart with lace and then embossed the words “Bee” mine on the heart. I drew a little “bee” holding a heart, cut her out and attached he to the heart with foam tape to elevate her. This one is for my 10 year old daughter.
I hope that you all enjoy these! I hope to comment on all of your beautiful tags this week. I am honored to be able to post with such talented ladies! I am inspired (and yes, a bit jealous!) by your creativity and artistic abilities! Happy Valentine’s Day to each of you!
Best,
Mary Ann
