Valentine's Day

I played with a lot of different things to create my tag this week. First, I used micro fine glitter to create the blue striped background. Next, I used an Exacto knife to cut the border of the tag. On the hearts on the border, I used a red micro fine glitter to accentuate them. The written piece on the side of the tag says. "My love flies to you on the wings of angels." Next I created the angel wing tag that is tucked into the curved piece of the border, using a heart shape and creating feathers out of water color paper, card stock and tracing paper. When I finished all of the layers of feathers. I burnished the edges with blue and silver inks. Next I flipped the wings over and made layers of red and blue hearts that say "Be Mine"on the reverse side. I tucked the feathered heart/wings into the curve of the border and added a blue cord and gauzy blue ribbon to complete the tag.

  1. Oops, I actually wrote, "My heart will fly to you on wings of the angels." Sorry about the error, I'm a little tired...
