woohooo, a Tag Tuesday tag on a Tuesday no less :) and the right Tuesday :)
you might wonder what this tag has to do with Spring cleaning.......especially as its not spring here....as you know i have been purging.... i still have a couple of cupboards to go but i have thrown out, given away and even sold some stuff , bags and bags and bags of stuff....i have also saved some stuff from my cleaning and used on this tag...target tag, magazine pages, book pages, onion bag.
while i was making it, i was thinking of all the excesses of Easter [chocolate and hot cross buns to be precise] and thinking back how when i was kid some 40 odd years ago and seeing starving Ethiopian kids on the TV and being absolutely horrified at the images.....and whats changed in that time...not much, people are STILL starving all over the world unnecessarily...
so my tag for this week.......
What a powerful tag. It's a real challenge to create something with a strong message but this works brilliantly.
ReplyDeletePowerful tag - well done!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be great if we could spring clean the world and dispose of all the want and poverty? Great tag x
ReplyDeleteToo true, a very thought provoking tag x
ReplyDeleteA thought provoking tag, I remember seeing about that famine on television, cant believe it was 40 years ago. To think it is still happening!
ReplyDeleteNice job-- a great, little collage piece!

ReplyDeleteJan x
How clever to use you 'spring cleaned out items' to make such an impressive tag to stir our thoughts directly after the excesses of a 'chocolate filled' easter ;-)
ReplyDeleteToo true! Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou stopped us in our tracks there Jen.

One I Made Earlier Today
Thanks for reminding us of our global community and our responsibilities. I often think we are privileged to have the freedom to create ... while others work just to survive. Great tag to evoke a heartfelt response.
ReplyDeletehow wonderful that by "spring cleaning" your stash you came up with this little work of art with a powerful and timely message ♥
