Bunting and Flags
Hi group! Here is my effort for this week. The main image is from a U.S. postage stamp booklet that I saved for just such an occasion. The crossed flag stamp toward the bottom is an actual (old) stamp. The buntings I made from scrapbook paper that I ran a wet tea bag over to imitate age. All modesty aside, I really liked the way this tag turned out so I hung it from picture frame in my house. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it fell off, and my one-year-old hound got ahold of it! She showed me some mercy and didn't totally destroy it, but I'm glad I got photo of it before!!! Until next week...

Very bright, colourful and patriotic. I like the fans you made too.
ReplyDeleteLovely tag, like all the *bits* you have built in! Sorry the dog got it, but we had a rule at home that anything on the floor was the dog's - and did she know it! Valerie
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag Diane...lovely elements...Sorry to hear it nearly got eaten!!..Naughty puppy!! ...I've got a naughty pooch too...and like Valerie says, anything on the floor...and the dog thinks it belongs to him!!! Agh!... I've had to rescue quite a few of my arty attempts from his little jaws!!

Beautiful tag...pleased it survived the puppy! Our dog is just the same!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tag - I just love the pleated fans, they are so effective.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag, shame that you nearly lost it! a lot of work in it too! I love being able to use postage stamps in my work, when my husband and I re-vamped an old MONZA caravan I completley decoupaged the table with them lots of USA ones in there you can see it on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that yur lovely tag survived the attack from your dog.
ReplyDeleteLove this tag, especially the piece of rosette on the bottom to balance the great images. Well done x
ReplyDeleteGreat tag, love the little pleated fans. My cat usually likes to join in with tag making, mostly by lying across my lap!
ReplyDeleteLove the rosettes on this one! Fab tag! Carolyn
ReplyDeleteBeautiful love how you used the stamp booklet, cool idea!

Shame your tag got eaten but glad you managed to get a picture of it before it happened. Great tag with stamps on it. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane Your puppy has good taste it appears! My dog ate the head stamp of a set of Dylusions stamps. I wouldn't mind if he had eaten a stamp from a cheaper stamp set! Expensive tastes :-) Helen x
ReplyDeleteFortunately, my doggies are much more interested in food than my crafty stuff! I am glad your pup didnt destroy your lovely tag altogether, it is gorgeous!
