I've done the whole camping thing,
as they say, done it, seen it, got the T-shirt!!!
...and have fond childhood memories of family holidays in small poky tents , delish cooked breakfasts, fun and games!
...and Girl Guide camps (where it usually rained!)...
So... Now I prefer a little bit more luxury...as long as there is a comfy bed and an en-suite ..I'll be more than Happy!!
Although hubby is always trying to twist my arm to go on another camping trip !

But saying that....
I've alway fancied owning a VW Campervan
..Dreams of disappearing at weekends
for the freedom and nostalgia of a road/camping adventure ....
.....Oh and painted in the shade of aqua would be jolly lovely too!!
(on my wishlist for when I win the lottery ;)

I bought this bundle of wooden hearts for £2, and thought they would make a good tag base for some of the Tag Tuesday Challenges

I just LOVE it - my parents had a few VW camper vans (after I had grown up and left home - us children were never allowed such luxury!) and I've alway had such a soft spot for them. Yours looks absolutely perfect on the little wooden heart and I love the spotty ribbon - it's really fab.
ReplyDeleteWhat a find Jan! The wooden tags are great and I love the bug you have painted. We have one called Bertie, born in 1962. Too uncomfortable to sleep in now we are old bones but she took our number two daughter to her wedding, very beautiful she looked with her ribbons on, daughter looked gorgeous too! Here's hopeing you win the lottery! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat tag! This is def. better than a tent! There are still a lot of them on the streets here! Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shade of blue you chose. Cute painting. The camper vans seem to be very popular again :0)
ReplyDeleteVery neat! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan I have just posted a card on my blog with a VW van on it! (spooky) :-) I love your tag - you could make a garland of VWs and give them all a different paint job. No pressure!
ReplyDeleteLove the heart shape and the shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteAwww! Love your VW and its just the shade I would choose - will buy you one if I win the lottery!! Carolyn x
ReplyDeleteOooh, a VW campervan, now wouldn't that be great to have. Rock concerts, festivals, travelling free and easy. Errm, am I getting a bit carried away here? Lol, LOVE the tag, its making me very nostalgic for my misspent youth.
ReplyDeleteLovely hearts and heart tag! There is something really classic about the VW van isn't there? I have posted a tag with one on as well!
