I have some wonderful memories of camping holidays in my childhood - every year my parents took us camping and somehow managed to fit a four-man tent (with awning!), pillows, sleeping bags, air-beds, cooking equipment, food, clothes and enough activities to keep us occupied on the many wet days, PLUS two adults and two children into an old Morris Oxford car with a roof rack - no roomy hatchbacks for us back then!!! Aah - happy memories!
Big thank you's to everyone who left such lovely comments last week.
Hope you all have a great week.
You sure captured the theme-- great images!!
ReplyDeleteThis is fab - so very 'Carry on Camping'esque. The tent looks well used :0)
ReplyDeleteLove your tag! Great vintage look, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen the state of Frida my VW beetle when we packed her and we were only going to our static caravan. Will be posting my Saturday when we get back.

Great tag Diana, looks like the first tent I ever slept in! x
ReplyDeleteI'd better not let my husband see your tag Diana....You have gas and possibly 2 cans of petrol right next to your BBQ right next to your tent. Is that a scorch mark on your tag I see! :-D
ReplyDeleteReally captures the childhood camping experience. I can almost smell the wet canvas from here!
ReplyDeleteAh happy memories indeed...love the vintage background and the wonderful images you have used, Fab tag Diana :)

ReplyDeleteDiane I love your tag and your memories of camping sound wonderful! my dad had an old grey Morris Oxford for years he used to cram us six kids in the back, we each took it in turns to get to sit upfront on the long seat between him and mum on days out with picnics to places like Loch Lomond. I shall be posting some pics on my blog soon one shows the old Morris next to our Blubird caravan
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteMy husband spent many of his childhood years camping with his parents, Aunt and Uncle and their friends and families. They would have the cars and roof racks packed to the hilt and drive off in convey through the night to reach the campsite the next morning. Your tag reminded me of his stories. Hugs Mrs A.
