Diamond Jubilee

I read through the Diamond Jubilee posts before posting this to make sure that what I had done was appropriate. Being in the US, we have really enjoyed watching the festivities, especially since our leader can serve only 8 years before he must leave office. I have admired Queen Elizabeth, her poise, graciousness and absolute devotion to her country. My tag is simple - blues as in the gorgeous aquamarine crown that she seems to love, a diamond crusted paper (which photographed very poorly), topped with a background of diamonds, a diamond drawn out and cut from heavy paper that has her coronation picture on it and 60 lovely little diamonds (rhinestones) embellishing the diamond and edges.

  7. Um, I hate to sound like a know-it-all and forgive me if I misunderstood, but a U.S. president can only serve 8 years. 12 did not sound right to me-- I double checked. So there is a brief lesson for today!
