Merdoodly the mermaid sat like Piffy on a rock bun waiting to see if her one love Derek the Duck would bring home the Gold Medal from his Olympic efforts in the diving.
Her heart beat faster with growing anticipation of their meeting again after so long apart. That morning she had heard rumours that he had been seen nestling upto a buxom clay pigeon.
