Sea Birds

Hi Everyone!
It's still raining here in Berkshire, it's becoming normal!
Last week's tags were fab again. We seem to like the summer themes, even if
it doesn't feel summery.
For my tag this week I wanted to try some transfer printing, using a technique from a great book I have recently acquired -Image Transfer Workshop
by Dalene Olivia McElroy and Sandra Duran Wilson. I used acrylic paint to transfer print an image from a magasine for the background, then collaged a bird and text for the foreground. I photographed it on some of my painted papers, which I thought looked like the sea.
Now I am going to have a look at your tags!

  5. Hi Jane - I had no idea you could use magazine prints to do this. I have done it with prints from an ink jet and they work well. It makes a lovely moody background to your tag.
