When I was looking through my images I came across this one, and was immediately struck by how evil and scary it looked. That was it, couldn't get Halloween owl out of my mind again. Owls weren't just regarded as wise, they were also associated with witchcraft and magic by many people.
Background is fibrous black paper, I cut out an image of the moon, a bat, skull and scary doll, gave the evil looking owl a witches' hat and used a little bit of a fabric leaf ribbon for a tree branch. I had a tiny little bottle which I coloured green and stuck the picture of the baby in a bottle to. I was hoping it would look as if the baby really was bottled. Hmm.
