I have to admit I didn't feel very inspired by this theme. Owls seem to be everywhere at the moment and I wanted to try and do something different, but I really couldn't think of anything.
In the end all that kept coming in to my head was the clockwork/robotic owl from the film Clash of the Titans. I wasn't sure how to do that, so I then looked up instructions for an origami owl. I combined the two and this is what I ended up with.
As suspected it hasn't scanned well! I used tin foil and added some detail with sharpie markers and gold pens. I'm not thrilled with the result, but I'm relieved that I managed to think of something to do! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has done, as I'm sure there will be loads of the usual high quality, really amazing ideas and inspirations!
This is really something different, it looks very complicated to make! I do't know the film, though! Valerie
