RUST
Bonjour everyone! Sorry I had to miss you all last week but your rain tags were amazing! For my rust tag I distressed some corrugated card with alcohol and distress inks then sanded it. I tore a piece of soft metal for one corner and again used alcohol inks to make it rusty. I fastened this with two snaps. Then I added some cogs treated in the same way and some wire for the fastener. As a finishing touch I burnt some holes in the tag using the end of a joss stick (this is great fun to do!). Rain has finally arrived in my corner of France so I'm now in danger of going rusty too! Have a good week everyone! A bientot! Carolyn x

Hope you haven't seized up Carolyn! That alcohol ink worked a treat on the metal. Who knew there were so many ways to create faux rust finishes?!
