RUST

 Here is my rusty offering,
Last month I won a fab giveaway from the lovely Valerie (bastelmania blog) and included in all the wonderful crafty bits was a lovely paper napkin with the image of Michelangelo's famous touching hands
(The creation of Adam)
So... I scrunched up the paper napkin and stuck it to a cardboard tag base.
Inked it up a little with some assorted distress inks.
(rusty hinge, tea dye. scattered straw, walnut stain)
Stamped the quote...
'If you rest, you rust' - Helen Hayes (actress)
Then highlighted the hand and quote with a white pen.
....added a rusty spade, some distressed cloth and a clay  cab face which I've painted to try to look rusty!
and here is the rusty result.....
Looking forward to seeing all your rusty entries this week
Thanks for peeking!

  15. This is a great tag - everything is just right! I don;t usually associate rust with softness, but here the rust gives this a gentleness. Brilliant!
