Music

A couple of weeks ago, I treated myself to a few sheets from the G45 "Nutcracker Sweet" collection, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to play with it!
I've loved Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite since I was a little girl (in fact, it was the first LP I ever bought - I was a weird and nerdy child before the word "nerdy" was invented!) and the story about Clara and her fantastic dream on the night before Christmas.
These papers feature beautiful illustrations of some of the characters in the story.
Here you can see two of my favourites ...
The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. I finished them off with a big red festive bow which I saved from some gift wrapping last year. Here are some close ups
Firstly, the Nutcracker - isn't he handsome? The tag was cut from scrap paper, then I added some sheet music and patterned background from the G45 papers, a bit of washi tape, some twinkles and a metal treble clef charm.
Next, the Mouse King with his sword and a row of smart nutcracker guards
This was done in much the same way, then I added the title cut from the G45 paper and gave the nutcracker soldiers a smart shine with Glossy Accents.
I had such a lot of fun with this - now I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to!
