Keeping Warm

This is a fascinating vintage photo of some little girls all decked out for Winter in their beautiful coats and hats.  When I use this picture in my art I often wonder what their lives were like, and how it came to be that they were posed this way.  There are so many great details in this photo.  They sure must have stayed warm in those outfits!
