I wanted to do a stitched landscape for this weeks theme but couldn't get inspired with my threads and after 2 attempts I gave up, perhaps its all the red I have been working with this week,
more about that on my blog.
So I decided to look to my pile of old Christmas cards and do a bit of recycling,
it seems I have used up all the 'winter scenes' but another search through the tiny pieces bag I found elements that I could use to piece one together . .
It started with a simple picture of deer in the snow and one tree at the side
I stitched more pieces onto this, church, fence in the snow and people
and then added some more sparkle to it with beads, crystals and sequins.
Gorgeous tag, love how you have used the stitching! Hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteOh, this is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteLovely idea, Yvonne. Stitching the pieces together really works. I did try a Christmas card collage, but it looked like a few cards stuck together, which is exactly what it was! Your stitching adds depth and texture to your tag.
