Wow! Today I have managed to get my tag for Tag Tuesday posted promptly on Tuesday, so I'm pleased about that. Our theme is 'winter landscapes'. I wanted to keep it simple, as my fingers are still leading their own lives, so I used a photo I took in 2010. It shows the pathway leading along the remains of the wall, parallel to the Rhine, which used to be part of the town's defenses in the old days. I just added the vintage Santa image, and matted it onto some blue miri card and silver card. The beads are some of those I made last year, and the silver embellishment was sent by a crafty friend, as were the pretty fibres.
Thanks a lot for all your good wishes in the past weeks, I much appreciate your encouragement and support.
Have a good week, take care, and thanks for visiting!

Wow, what a fab tag - I love the photo you took - it looks like Narnia! And your Santa image and twirly bits look so beautiful against it. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI wrote an article on my blog using this pic back in 2010 and called it 'Narnia is everywhere'. I so love going along that pathway just because of this!
ReplyDeleteHi Val, this is a lovely tag! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag Val. The photo is awesome! The die-cut flourish is beautiful and the santa/child image are just perfect :0) Mo

Clever to use your photo, it makes a great tag! x
ReplyDeleteLovely traditional looking tag and what a beautiful snowy scene in the background.
ReplyDeleteMagical - love the contrast of the warm colours of Father Christmas against the beautiful wintery photo, and those beads are fab! :o)
ReplyDeleteThere is a touch of a fairy tale in this beautifully evocative tag - I know there is a very warm cozy fire in the cottage at the end of the path!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag. Lovely blue shades, I love the beads and swirly embellishment, Jane xx
ReplyDeleteGreat composition and use of materials! Yes, the Narnia vibe is definitely there!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag, Valerie! Great photo set off well with the embellishments of Father Christmas and the filigree in the corner.

Reminds me of Narnia, with the lamp. Of course Father Christmas arriving is a sign that the White Witch's reign is ending, because it was always winter but never Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very effective use of an already beautiful photograph. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tag! love the copper embellishment x
