H is for HATS

I am having so much fun finding antique/vintage images for this alphabet series. For the letter H I chose HATS! I am in total awe of the incredible hats which were so fashionable in the Edwardian period. Huge constructions featuring anything from whole birds to fruit bowls to miniature gardens..... How on earth did they balance those monstrosities on their heads? Anyhoo, the hat I chose for this tag is quite restrained really, but the almost all black  image appealed to me -

  3. How cool is this! What a great theme you have chosen for your "H". I know there are still some places in the "garment" districts of large cities where you can find original very fancy hats. I love your tag with all the additions to make it just right!

  7. If you want to get ahead, get a hat! I always remember that - such a silly saying, haha - unlike your tag which is very sophisticated and worthy of being attached to an upmarket gift box :0) Mo
