U is for no oils that I can find! So I have decided to give you a recipe for an UPLIFTING blend of oils, and much needed with this sudden wet and miserable weather after such a lovely bank holiday! My wardrobe is getting changed so much it has made me dizzy! A lovely blend of oils to put in the room fragrancer would be Pine, Rosemary and Cedarwood which would give you the smell of a forest. If you prefer a more citrus note then Bergamot, Lemon and Patchouli are lovely. If you are a flower person then Geranium, Lavender and Juniper is one of my favourite blends, with a lovely clean smell. Think I will go and mix up some for myself right now, before I have to go to work this afternoon!
For my tag I adhered a page from an old dictionary that had the word Uplift among it. I coloured this with distress stains and added some rub-ons. Don't usually use these but taking part in Tim Holtz tags of 2013 he gives you such good ideas! I found some silver leaf rub-ons in my stash I forgot I had, thought they gave an UPLIFT to the tag! Then I die cut Winged Heart, coloured it with various paints and the rub-on words and stickled the wings. Then I distressed the edge and added some glitzy ribbon. I hope you are all having an uplifting time making your tags, I shall enjoy looking at them all, it is one of my favourite things to do with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit (or two). Have a lovely week everyone. Love Barb x

Lovely tag with lots of interesting techniques - and you're so knowledgable about essential oils (I love the sound of all of those combos but I've never tried lavender geranium and juniper before mmmmmmmmm) :o)
ReplyDeleteVery very clever to use an "uplifting" blend for inspiration for this wonderful tag.
