How many comebacks can a Tuesday tagger make? I missed a couple of weeks again, but here is my offering this week - a little late, but better than never... V is for Verticordia - another unusual but beautiful Australian plant, commonly called. 'feather flowers' . There are different species - with bright yellow or mauve or white feathery flowers. All are stunning but this is my favourite, Verticordia grandis, with scarlet showy flowers.
This tag was hand drawn from a photo I saw on Flickr . I couldn't print or copy the photo so hence image of the computer screen! The drawing was done with Inktense pencils, and the flower and name was then surface embroidered, with some braid added to fill in the space.
I love the simple elegance of this tag. Blessings!

ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job with Verticordia. Great idea to have it on the monitor in the background and I love that you chose something unusual for your letter V.
