The Roaring Twenties and Italy

This bathing beauty must be from the Roaring Twenties.  I love her snazzy head wrap and the jaunty way she is sitting.  I had to put her on a shell.

I'm late with my Italy tag because we were away for a week, so I've added it on here.  I try to use stamps as much as I can on my tags, and this was the only Italy related one I had.
Glad I finally had an occasion to use it.  I love that quote because I think it is so amazing that an artist can carve a piece of stone into something beautiful.  What a gift to be able to look at a block of stone and visualize a 3 dimensional form, and then to chip away at it to make the sculpture appear.

Thanks for looking, I'm off to see what other tags have been created!

  1. I love the way you put your bathing beauty on a shell. You used one of my favorite Michelangelo quotes. Great Tag.

  2. These are both beautiful, Barb. I especially like the colors and imagery in the 20's one. However, I love Michelangelo's quote too.
