The Roaring Twenties

Aah, the Twenties, what a wonderful time it must have been ( at least for the well off ). I adore the fashion of that decade, both day and evening wear.

I gave my Twenties lady a dropped waist lace evening dress, as she is going out to a Speakeasy and might even drink some cocktails, a jewelled headband and put her on an inked background in a lovely turquoisy shade with silver accent in a kind of Art Deco pattern. I had seen something similar in a 1920s wallpaper book I had a little while ago. I had some Art Deco paper border in the right sort of colours and used that for the geometric design on one side of the tag. Added a few words and a cocktail glass. Oh, and of course a beaded fringe. Yikes, I had to nick a bit off the beaded fringe from my mermaid box for that.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments last week. I was a very bad commenter last week, sorry, gals, I'll do better this week! Have a wonderful day wherever you are,

  12. Great tag with wonderful details! I smiled when I read about your fringe. I too was contemplating where I could snip a little without it being noticed--my lamp shade, a pillow... :-)
