The Swinging Sixties

For this theme, I made a digital tag.  All of the images are from the Gecko Galz Hippy collage sheet.  I started by resizing the peace sign background image into 6"x3".  Then I cropped and converted to ping files the other images so that I could digitally layer them.  This stock photo evoked many memories and images of that time period-- clothing, music, politics, lifestyle so I did my best to keep the theme light and swinging.

We just saw American English in concert--a Beatles sound/look-alike band.  All I can think about now is we all live in a yellow submarine.....

Peace.  Helene aka 2amscrapper

  5. Helene your tag is so lively and bright. My memory is of a time of huge optimism with a strongly conservative older generation not yet willing to listen. Oh and the music....absolutely!
Peace symbols, protests and tie dye clothing - what a mix!

  6. You really captured the psychedelic feeling of the hippie movement. I know exactly what you mean about the contrasting forces that imagery of the time could evoke. Blessings!
