Hello group! How nice of you to honor my wedding anniversary with this week's theme. Tee hee... my anniversary is less than two weeks away. I used an old sewing pattern image for the bride (when they still wore sleeves) and old wedding wrapping paper underneath. The superstition used at the bottom to be popular. To be honest, I don't know if it still is-- been a long time since I knew a bride! Can't wait to see your creations! Have a great week!
Happy Wedding Anniversary! I love the retro feel of your tag. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag, Love the image & the background is amazing... Happy Anniversary to you both... Hugs May x x x

ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag, so much to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! *Big sigh* if only I had a vintage wedding pattern like that--love love love.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty Diane. Sending best wishes for a happy aniveresary & many more to come :0)
ReplyDeleteThis has. Great 60s feel to it. Your bride is wonderful. The saying is still popular here in Tennessee - though for some reason, we say "and a silver sixpence in your shoe." A penny would be much easier to find in the states!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag and that style of dress was so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary when it arrives

Lovely retro tag - I adore those old sewing patterns! Carolyn xx
ReplyDeleteI love the retro feel of your tag - great idea to use the sewing pattern, it looks great. We're just coming up to our second anniversary and that saying was still going strong two years ago!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one Diane. I like how you pulled your elements for the tag together so well!
ReplyDeletelove the image! Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sleeves on your bridal dress.
My mother wore something similar.
I also love the little phrase at the bottom....
What a wonderful tag! Love the layers and colors. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love the images and how you have put this tag together, it's really lovely and have a lovely anniversary too! X
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tag. I think it's still true, isn't it? Your bride reminds me of leafing through Buttericks and McCalls catalogs while my mom was at fabric store. :)
ReplyDeleteNostalgic - especially remembering that sleeves were essential for a bridal gown. All the elements are perfectly complementary . Love the lovebirds.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really beautiful tag
ReplyDeleteSue xx
I love the retro feel you have created Diane - I have never heard that final line of the poem! I did the rest but not the penny in my shoe - it seems to be ok though as we have been married 30 years now! Happy anniversary for next week x
