I was so looking forward to this weeks challenge that I made my tag well in time. When I was a young girl (eons ago!) I loved the story of the Secret Garden. Although my garden is just an average sized Estate patch I have made it into different 'rooms'. So my tag is in celebration of a wooden door opening into a Secret garden.
I used the Secret Garden papers from Graphic 45 and a stamp of a wooden door which I cut so that it opened.
Then I used the divine papers of the little girl tending her flowers.
The papers are lovely, I recommend you take a peek at them! I embosssed the tag with a brick wall folder and painted and distressed it before adding the doorway and a little label from the set at the top. I punched little flowers which I scattered at the door, die cut an ivy garland which had distress stain treatment and also stained the ribbon at the top to match. Then I used a grungeboard key which I 'rusted' up with Walnut Stain and embossing powder and some gold paste.
Thank you so much for your kind comments on my last tag. Can't wait to see all your contributions this week! Hugs, Barb x
Beautiful! I think we all loved the secret garden - I still do! Valerie
ReplyDeleteMore gorgeous Graphic 45 - I used it too Barb. I love your Secret Garden theme. Was that a fairy I saw flitting away as the Garden Door opened? Fab faux rust technique on that key too!
