I've just seen a quick glimpse of some of your gorgeously colourful Egypt tags and will look forward to coming back later to have a proper peruse. Here's mine ...
Looking at it now I kind of think maybe I should have added some colour - and maybe I still will - I did finally have a play with some gold leaf flakes which have been languishing in a drawer since the Dark Ages. I was inspired by a demo at the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show at the Ally Pally on Sunday and I'm sorry I can't remember the lady's name because she was brilliant, especially as she had been left with only 15 minutes to create her project.
Professor Google was very helpful with hieroglyphs. Hopefully I have written -
ARTY
FARTY
ANNIE
TAG
If you look closely you'll see that I've added some of my own hieroglyphs - paint palette, computer screen, tag - and a line along the bottom to depict the tools of a Tuesday Tagger's trade - scissors, brush, gluepot, paper, pencils, hands.
Mind you, there's every chance that in fact I've said "I am a complete wally" in Ancient Egyptian!
Thanks for looking, see you again next week :o)xxx
Clever! I like you additions to the alphabet!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag, I love the colour as it is! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI am giggling at your post Annie...complete Wally or not your tag is super...how good to pull out the ancients supplies and to be assisted by a professor no less.
ReplyDeleteGood fun!
super clever lady! i love the gold eye. xo
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Love the 'extra' hieroglyphs and the gold flakes. Carolyn xx
ReplyDeleteVery clever tag Annie! Great minds think alike with the hieroglyphics, but it took me ages just to write EGYPT! You should have left yours uncoded, to see if anyone could work it out! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Love it. Please don't add any colour it is perfect as it is. The hieroglyphics lead your eye around the tag and come to rest on your wonderful golden eye.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it needs any colour either. Gorgeous tag, and love your humour.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas Annie. Looks like you had lots of fun with this :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm not an Egyptologist, so in my mind your tag says what you claim, as well as being very elegant looking. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteyou brought a smile to my face--very creative tag!
ReplyDeleteI would not add any color to this tag. i think it is wonderful just as is. Your hieroglyphics are great!
ReplyDeleteThis is very clever and your comments about what you hope you have written made me smile! X
