Well, no beads on this one (I was going to give her pearls), but I did get buttons and a bow incorporated. I got hooked on making paper buttons one weekend and was so happy to use them. The button card was made with stamps from Oxford Impressions and the fashionista stamp is from Pink Persimmon. The background dots are Stampin' Up. I was so excited about this theme, and this is not quite what I had in mind, but I guess you can't perfectly plan everything you create or you would never make anything, huh? I need to loosen up and just "go for it" a little bit more.

ReplyDeleteLove the whole look of this, the colours are awesome :o)
ReplyDeleteNot sure why you would need to 'loosen up' here! I think your tag is a fab with a wonderful retro feel to it.

Great vintage/retro look to your tag.
ReplyDeleteSo stylish - and the colours are perfect for the period.
ReplyDeleteI love it! It reminds me of the sewing notions my mom kept in her sewing kit when I was a little boy. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteTurquoise and red together make me giddy! Love the stamped images you use and how you collage everything together. Your tag is perfect, but I know what you mean about feeling the need to loosen up. I tend to always go with a symmetrical, layered, controlled composition, and wish I could more easily do the free-er, more expressive stuff. Hey, this week's theme is "tattered and torn"...it may be the perfect chance to 'just go for it'!!
ReplyDeleteTurquoise and red make me giddy as well--isn't that funny???? I never wear those colors and don't have them in my house. You expressed so perfectly what I was trying to say about my process, Maggie--kindred spirits! I am also looking forward to freeing myself from "controlled" composition with this week's challenge.
