Beads, Buttons and Bows

Such a sweet theme!  I went for a monochromatic, vintage look for my tag:
The base of the tag is a piece of corrugated cardboard, with a torn piece of patterned paper added.  I just love this beautiful vintage photo of a sweet young woman, and I stitched old shell buttons down the front of her dress.  I had some buttery, beautiful ivory satin ribbon in my stash; a big bow of it went at the bottom of the tag, and a piece got laced through a grommet at the top for ties.  I think she looks rather angelic, so I stitched a "halo" of vintage and worn pearls around her head.
It is very encouraging to get your kind comments.  I will try to add mine to your posts in the next couple of days....it's so much fun to see everyone's different interpretations of the same theme.  I sure am enjoying the creative outlet this blog provides each week!

  2. A beauty of a tag in my opinion! It caught my eye because it has a wonderful vintage feel. The ribbon is gorgeous and my favourite element is that fab pearl halo. Love it!
