This was a tough topic for me! Finally, I took an old book that I am deconstructing and removed a few pages. The pages were crumbling but I managed to fashion a decent looking rose from one of them. I used part of another page as the background and stamped it with a background stamp and black ink. I used Tim Holtz products to age the background, the rose, and the ribbon to mimic decay. I used matte medium to affix the rose to the background. I added and shredded the ribbon to the tag and used a small brad to stabilize it on the fragile paper.
Beautiful tag Martha, love your paper rose! Valerie
