Myths & Legends

Hi Everyone; I hope this week finds you all happy & well & into the swing of 2014. The routine of a new school term helps me along, but I'm happy to say that it also gives me a little more creative time. The household dust is piling up mind you, but what they hey, huh? I think I've got my priorities right....haha.

Do you believe in faeries? I do. I believe.
I believe in them like I believe in the Tooth Fairy & the Easter Bunny & Father Christmas. I believe in the magic that rises in my heart & my imagination when I hear those names. I remember shouting, "I believe!" at the television, as a young girl, when Tinker Bell was dying in the Peter Pan film. Do any of you remember doing that? I love faeries, (fairies); so fitting in with this weeks theme, I made a fairy tag.

I used a very large tag, picket fence distress paint over a polka dot stencil and I stamped with distress markers. I added some dried lavender, (still smells gorgeous), several rub-ons, a fussy cut Lavender Fairy, a toadstool charm, some punched butterflies, crochet lace and the tie is some ribbon I coloured. The writing on the left is a quote attributed to Mark Twain, which says, 'Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear & the blind can see'. Beautiful. On the right is a rub-on that says, 'Do you believe in fairies?'
Right, I'm off to see the lovely tags already posted. I haven't even peeked yet.
Take care everyone. Make a wish; you never know, it may just come true.
Stay well & be happy **hugs** :o) Mo x

  1. The contrast between the size of the tag and the fairy was brilliant. I also love all the interesting little details that surround her. Blessings!

  8. Aaah, this is lovely, so sweet and delicate and full of the joys of summer. Just what I needed to see on this horridly grey day.

  9. And what a pretty fairy she is. I can remember sitting with my sister as still as we could be on a blazing Aussie Summer's day with clouds of biting things...we were in a cow paddock with our eyes glued firmly on a massive Eucalypt. There was a twist of wire near a bole and an uncles said it was a Fairy House....we were absorbed for hours.
See what your lovely tag brought out!
