Happy New Year everyone!
Sorry I'm a bit late this week - that's the first New Year's Resolution gone for a burton then! :o)
Here's my Winter Landscape tag ...
The beautiful, rather haunting image is from Graphics Fairy. I don't know anything about this little girl, but she seems to be holding a bag of money in one hand and a horseshoe in the other and she's set against a snowy winter scene ... maybe she is bringing good luck and prosperity for the New Year.
Here's a closer look ...
I printed the image out three times, so that I could layer it up for a more three-dimensional effect. My tag shape was stamped and inked to create a nice background for the picture, then I added some embossing paste and glitter paste around the edges ....
... looks like a bit of a slug trail in the picture, but it's very pretty in real life!
Thanks for checking out my tag - I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created now :o)xxx
You did an amazing job capturing the icy feel of a winter landscape in your tag with your use of color, texture and imagery. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag Annie! Valerie
ReplyDeleteNice! Like the glitter effect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'll take all the good luck she's bringing.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
gorgeous image--a real beauty of a tag!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute image you found & used to great effect Annie. I hope she brings us all good luck. The glittery edge is very un-slug-trail like btw, haha
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words on my tag. Happy New Year :o)
I think you're right about the message of the antique photo. And so clever to print it 3x and create perspective that way!
ReplyDeleteYou knocked it out of the park with this one, Annie! I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThis is very atmospheric and a great use of imagery. I can't see a slug trail anywhere! Happy New Year! X
ReplyDeleteBeautifully created! I can really feel the chilly temperatures and feel of the image, you brought it out perfectly.
