Hearts

Hi you all!

Valentine's Day is coming nearer, and out theme is hearts - not really my theme, as I am not a romantic sort of person, but I have tried....
The first one was made with a heart cut from corrugated cardboard, partly peeled, painted white end embossed onto the wet paint with Frantage shabby pink. The die-cut wings were given the same treatment. I cut a second, smaller heart out of a fabric scrap, and then threw on all the pink flowers I had, a key, and some pink ribbons.

The second heart is a die-cut chipboard one, which has been languishing for years in one of my boxes. I painted it in blues and greens, and then sprnkled it with glitter, and added some crackle varnish. This time I threw on all the blue and white flowers I could find, and some beads instead of a ribbon.

Here's wishing you all a great day, and a happy Valentine's Day to all those who celebrate it.
Take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
Valerie

  2. Two beautiful hearts Valerie! So full of romance too. Love 'em :D
I have a decopage heart somewhere, I should have done that instead of faffing with flitterflakes that didn't want to behave nicely, haha. Got there in the end tho' :o) x

  3. Your heart tags are gorgeous! I think I like the non-traditional colored one (blue) best! I haven't had a chance to do the last few tags but am hoping to get caught up and do a heart one this week!

Not too much cupiding here at Chez Short Valerie but then I get wonderful surprises of the most interesting kind throughout the year.
Perhaps my Super Star is a trend setter!
