My hearts tag was incredibly complicated, a bouquet of bleeding hearts (flowers) made of tiny beige and white patterned paper cones with gold wire stamens, and crimson heart pistils. It was excruciatingly difficult, exquisitely delicate, and fell apart before I could even get a picture of it. I put it in File 13 (the garbage can). Frustration...
So, this week, I went minimalist. it worked and although this is very simple, I was pleased with it. I drew the dragonfly. I colored it in with two iridescent blue acrylic inks. I shaded it with a pen. I took a clear piece of plastic saved from stickers I had used, drew the wings and then daubed on purple ink. I cut them out, drew details on them and attached them to the dragonfly body. last, I attached it to a tag I had covered with paper that looks like wooden planks. When the sun shines, it is so lovely!
Cool! The dragonfly is gorgeous and works so well against that wooden plank print. Blessings!

ReplyDeleteI actually thought you had used a real piece of wood at first glance. Wonderful paper choice, and your dragonfly is so beautiful. It surely makes up for the loss of heart ;)
ReplyDeleteFab tag Martha . Both the dragonfly and the piece of wood look so realistic . Shame about your heart tag, but this makes up for it.
