Statues

Hello Everyone. Lovely to see the happy summer holiday tags. It is still sunny and hot here so summer continues for us. Thank you for the lovely comments from everyone last week-always appreciated.

My tag is based on a human statue that we saw in Skegness a few years ago. It was a really hot day and she stood there in all her heavy clothes and silver paint. The only time they move at all is if someone puts money in their box. I wanted my photograph taken with her so my husband put money in the box and she changed position and held out her hand to hold mine. You can see my hand in hers. For a while I became part of the sculpture until someone came along and put money in the box. It was a wonderful feeling.

The little head was made for me by Von--thank you Von

Can't wait to see all the tags you make this week.

Love Chrissie x

  4. Great tag with a great story - the actors who perform these living statues are so disciplined...what a beautiful tag you and she have created.

  5. Great tag, Chrissie! I always like a tag with a story, and can really imagine the scene on the day. How lucky for you to be part of the sculpture!

  6. What a great idea to use a living statue for your tag! I have never seen one in real life.

  7. Great idea Chrissie, and a lovely tag. I would be hopeless at standing so still, I'm a real fidget.
