Fairy Tales

Since "The Gingerbread Man" is my classroom's theme this school year, I decided to make a tag inspired by him for this week's "Fairy Tales" theme.

I used a photograph of the sunbathing gingerbread couple tags that I made for the "Summer Holiday" theme in July, to make a welcome back poster for my classroom door.  Therefore, this new tag will be great for next month's poster.  I began by designing outfits using K&Company papers for a couple of gingerbread figures that I cut with my Tim Holtz die.  Next, I designed the backgrounds for my tags using Martha Stewart papers, glitter, and an airplane stamp, as well as reinforcers, a Dymo labeler, a button, pin, jute twine, and a micron pen.  I hand lettered my own version of the Gingerbread Man's classic rhyme to convey to my gifted and talented students that I have great expectations for their future.
Have a blessed weekend, everyone!

  2. What lovely tags! I bet you are an awesome teacher, to take such care over decorating your class room and making special things for the children to enjoy and be inspired by. I'm sure they cannot fail to 'get ahead'
Blessings to you and all your students Arnoldo :D
