Hello Everyone!!! Thank you so much for the warm welcome last week, I feel so grateful to be posting along side all of you!
When I first read this week's challenge I have to say that I was a little intimidated because you hear tag and the first medium that comes to mind is paper. But as I looked around, the idea popped into mind! I could make tags out of acetate or clear plastic. I ended up using the plastic cover from a die package because it's a little thicker. I created two tags but couldn't decide which to post so I added them both.
On this first tag, I added some pearlized paint then covered it with titanium white mixed with a little bit of glazing medium on the back. The bird & swirls are stamped on the front and a metal flower at the bottom.
One the second tag, I painted one side, let it dry then stamped the images directly on the paint. The decorations are made of foam and have a light coat of metal green paint. I'm not too happy with the color on the pictures, it is much more vibrant and teal in person.
Thank you for taking a look and hope you like them!!!
Nicie

Very nice!!! I love when using something that is normally used for art creates beauty!
ReplyDeleteVery clever ideas and I find it really difficult to chose one tag over the other. Hmmm. I think the second has the edge, because I love the colour scheme so much.
