Hi friends -- you haven't seen me around here for a while but I just finished designing a better work/craft/art space for myself and to celebrate, made this tag:
The main illustration is a garden journal page from ca. 1900; it shows a family picking apples from their tree. The background of the tag is vintage wallpaper. If you look closely you can see that I was able to match the tree in the page to a tree on the wallpaper.
I loved the detail of the bushels and the barrel, and wanted to echo the color of the apples with the greens and red that I used throughout the tag.
The fruit basked is an original piece of scrap; I placed it so it looked like the little boy on the ladder was reaching for it. I also used green pearl embellishments to suggest the roundness of the apples.
It really says "Fall" to me. Thanks for stopping by the blog, and to everyone who posts faithfully with their lovely creations!
