My tag this week is a fabric collage inspired by "The Secret Garden", a story by Frances Hodgson Burnett, published in 1911. I have used old photos of sister and brother, Sarah and Ernest James Bath born 1900 and 1899 respectively so I think they are ideal to depict Mary and Colin in the story. The photo has been printed on cotton and appliqued to a Laurel Burch print which has been overstitched. There are many secrets in this story - the garden, Colin's confinement, the uncle's grief and timely return....Here's a link to Information about "The Secret Garden "
PS : Sarah and Ernest James were my husband's great aunt and uncle.
Absolutely wonderful, what a treasure you have created. Hugs, Valerie
