Cats and Dogs

Hi Everyone!
We seem to be a small and select group
at the moment. It would be nice to see some
more people joining in.
For my tag I used the embossed frame I made in
my mixed media group this week. We followed a
technique by Andy Skinner to create a rust effect.
I don't think mine worked well as rust, but I like the end
result! This was achieved with a combination of black gesso,
ink and gold paint. I added some braids. The frame was
the perfect size for a cat portrait!

  1. Lovely tag, very elegant. Yes, it would be great if people would join in more often! Hugs, Valerie

  2. Spectacular setting for your cat image. Love the techniques

  6. Lovely tag and great techniques.

  7. Now that is some cat!! What a beautifly "framed" masterpiece. Lovely!

  8. How beautiful and regal, reminding me of the richly gilded Victorian miniatures for important people.
