christmas stocking

hello lovely tag people! here is a digital tag for this week's prompt:

background by robyn gough all other digital images by cryztal rain "so this is christmas".

love to all.

What's in your Christmas Stocking

This was not easy, as I didn't know how to attempt it. In the end I cut out and painted a stocking shape. and cut out some things to put in my stocking. I then covered the stocking with some acetate.

Christmas Stockings

Hi to everyone! Loved all your patchwork tags from last week.
What would I like in my Christmas stocking? A puppy, or two!! (Santa, if you can't bring a puppy, I will take jewelry instead!)
I used a 7 Gypsies tag and added a Gecko Galz image and a small cork heart to complete my tag.
Have a wonderful week!

Christmas Stocking

Hi All. Hope you have had a good week. Beautiful tags you made last week though it such a shame that so few of us are joining in these days. Thank you for commenting on my tag.

Full of Peace, Love and Happiness

I enjoyed making this and it will hang on my tree this year.

Christmas Stocking ....

As usual, Christmas has crept up on me. I am currently in tropical North Queensland visiting my sister, so the festive season hadn't been uppermost in my mind. My tag this week was as much as I could manage in transit - in a hotel room last night with a felt tipped pen, my travel pack of watercolours and an aquash brush. At least, she has the wrapping paper out and has managed a couple of presents - I wish to be so organised at this time of the year. Have a great week!

What's in your stocking?

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well.

Once again I just have a digital piece for you,
I do not have the strength just now for 'real' crafting.
I think the snowman is wishing for lots of warm clothes in his stocking!

Have a great week!
Take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

Farms, Fields and Patchwork Landscapes

            Hi Everyone!

Another week, another tag!
I have used a Gelli printed landscape this week as a tag. I have been drawing textures into the Gelli plate, then taking a print. The idea came from Linda Germain in an online course. I am still working on variations of this, with different colour combinations and styles. The landscape is my version of Tuscany, Italy, which we visited this summer.

Farms, fields, patchwork lanscapes

I painted mine this time as I didn't have time to make a sewn one which is what I intended doing. I'm looking forward to see what everyone else does for this one.

Farms, Fields and Patchwork Landscapes

I really didn't know what to do for this weeks "challenge" here at Tag Tuesday.
Nonetheless, I went to work to create this

Patchwork in Pink

Hugs,

Pssst... Just wanted to let you know that I'm getting published in Somerset Studio Gallery, Winter 2017 { hits the newsstand December 1st } !!! I'm so over-the-moon-excited!!

Farms, Fields and Patchwork Lanscapes

Hello Fellow Taggers. Hope your week has gone well. Great to see the wonderful reindeer on your tags last week.

I love this theme and often doodle coloured fields. I doodled these digitally then printed them out and used white pen to highlight the shapes. Next I drew the little farm building and fences.

Can't wait to see everyone else's take on the theme

Have a good week.

Farms, fields and patchworked landscapes

Hello everyone, today here in Newcastle NSW we are having the hottest day so far of the season - 37degrees C  which is about 99 degrees F , so I'm  dreaming of lush green fields in a misty landscape. This is literally a patchworked tag from scraps of paper and a snippet of a sketch. The quote is from some of my own writing which strangely enough has stuck in my head from a long time ago. I have enjoyed getting my head around this month's themes trying to come up with something different although I have not been able to stop a girl's face  appearing somewhere.

Patchwork fields

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well.

I made a digital tag on a patchwork background,
and must say I like the effects I achieved, I just don't quite know how
I did it....anyway, this is my interpretation
of patchwork fields:

Have a good week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Hi everyone,
I kept putting this one off, inspiration had left the building. I think I may have gone OTT with it but I enjoyed doing it in the end. Keep warm and stay safe all of you.

Reindeer and Stags

                                                                  Hi Everyone!
Reindeer and Stags was a good subject for a tag, as there is so much inspiration out there. They must be on trend at the moment, and so are we! I knew exactly what I wanted do for my tag, which meant buying a stag stencil to get the image I had in mind. This meant buying a few more stencils at the same time.
I painted my new stag stencil on a gelli printed background, using black acrylic to make it stand out. If you look closely you can see some other touches that have been added.

Reindeer & Stags

My tag for this week, using Christmas die cuts and a piece of snowy kraft paper which I cut into a tag.

Have a great week everyone!

Reindeer and stags

I have used a die cut for the deer and trees and used puff paint for the snow on the trees. The background is distress ink sprayed with white Dylusion ink. The tree in the front is on foam pads to make it more 3 D

Reindeer and Stags

Hello Everyone. Hope your week is going well. Lovely to see the wonderful mushroom and toadstool ideas last week and I am looking forward to this week's entries and hoping there will be lots of them.

Strange how Christmas is full of things now that don't have any connection to the real meaning.

Reindeer and Stags

No stags from me this week. My tag is based on Elen, the antlered goddess - Elen of the trackways , the paths of nature and of the human soul. This tag is another of my little pen and watercolour sketches and the background has been done with watercolour and a stencil. I also did another  similar sketch for an artist trading card this week, with a touch of Christmas.

Reindeers/stags

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well!
I am calling my tag, 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'

Have a great day,
and thanks for coming by!

Mushrooms & Toadstools

I'm so happy to find the time to play along with you
again here at Tag Tuesday.

My tag is a small painting
- lovely pink mushrooms that exist in my mind... and on my tag! -

{ Mushrooms & Toadstools }

I just can't wait to see all of your beautiful contributions this week!

Hugs,

mushrooms and toadstools

it's a little trip to faerie-land with this week's theme, or at least that is how i interpreted it.  i made a digital tag for "mushrooms and toadstools."

enjoy; love to all.

Mushrooms and Toadstools

I have made two tags this week, as I have quite a few stamps. I also have made some tiny clay ones as well. The distress inked tags have been embossed with a grassy border and the mushrooms stamped on separate card for the first one, and directly onto the card for the second one.

Mushrooms and Toadstools

Hello Taggers. Hope you have had a great week. It was terrific to see the various takes on the foxes theme and I really enjoyed them all. Thank you for the comments on my artic fox tag.

I used die cuts for the tag and then peel offs for the images so this was an easy tag this week.

Have a great week

Love Chrissie xx

Mushrooms and Toadstools

Here's another in a similar vein to last week's tag - watercolour and ink quick sketch.  I took the toadstools cue this week. I am not sure where this text came from, but it was written as " not many humans claim to see the fairies etc." and I just changed it to refer to the drawing. "She didn't claim to see the fairies or hear their music, but she did find the fairy rings of dark grass, sprinkled with toadstools, left by their dancing feet." I had my granddaughter in mind as I painted this one.

Mushrooms & Toadstools

Hi, everyone. I have been sorting my tags by design teams, subject, etc. and ran across this finished tag. I think it was one I made "just for fun", but I'm not sure. I liked the little reindeer sticker (I gave him a paper hat) and the large mushroom he's standing by.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's mushroom tags!

Mushrooms and toadstools

Hi Everybody!

Once again I am in a hurry, I never seem to
catch up with myself!
And here my toadstools with inhabitants:

Have a great week, take care,

Foxes

Hi Everyone!
Last week's Halloween tags were great!
For my tag this week I was pleased to
be able to use my wood block
stamp sets from Paperchase.

Tuesday 1 November 2016

Foxes

Well this caught me without a fox stamp, how can I not have a fox stamp in my vast collection. !!!!!
I therefore had to resort to pictures, although I did use stamps on my background. Not very pleased with it, but will try better next time.

Foxes

Hello Everyone. Great Halloween tags last week and lots of Halloween things on the blogs this time as inspiration

'Foxes' is definitely a bit more unusual and I have kept my tag simple this week

We went to visit Western Park Museum in Sheffield a couple of weeks ago. It has all be revamped but there are still pieces that I remember from my childhood--just the settings have changed. There is a section with Icelandic things in it and this sweet little stuffed fox was in a glass case. I am sure it used to be there when I was young but it has maybe been cleaned and repaired quite a bit like a lot of the other things. It would have been nice to be able to touch it and there was a piece of fur that the box stood on that you could touch . I have hung the tag on my noticeboard as a reminder of a very nice day out.

Have a fun week

Foxes

Foxes - such a great theme to explore! This week I was inspired by a Japanese folk tale to paint a little water colour which I over stamped with some calligraphy. I had planned to fill the whole tag with the painting, but somehow I had a big space at the bottom left, so I wrote a little summary of the story.  "Kitsune" is the word Japanese use for fox /fox spirit, but it also has other meanings in classical Japanese, "kitsu ne " means "come and sleep", and "ki tsune" means "always".

Here is a 'nice" version of the story as you can imagine there are  also different interpretations of the woman as a fox trickster.
Once there was a man who married a beautiful woman. She had no family, but she was lovely of mien and manner, and he brought her to his home. In time, she bore him children, and they were very happy.
One day, a dog ran into their house, and it ran at the woman, barking. The woman was very frightened, and as the dog rushed at her, she transformed into a fox and fled.
The man was stunned to learn he had wed a shape-shifting fox — but he loved his wife. He followed her and said, “You are a fox, but you are my wife and the mother of my children. I love you. Please return with me.”
And so, every night, the fox returned and stayed with the man, and tended her children. And though he knew she was a fox, he loved her, and they were very happy. (from http://lauravanarendonkbaugh.com/the-first-day-of-kitsune/)

Foxes

I've had this picture for ages. Can't remember where I got it from, but it has been cracking me up for the whole time that I've had it.

Have a great week!

Foxes

Hi to all - I used to see foxes quite often in our neighborhood, but not so much now. I only saw one this summer.

I used a Sizzix die to create the fox. The tag is an old Basic Grey one from my tag collection. This was a fun theme!

Have a great week everyone!
