Stones and Pebbles

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well.
I have some news for you today. After conferring with
Carolyn, I will be changing the format of the blog from the first Tuesday
in February. It will still be Tag Tuesday, but instead of being a 'closed'
blog, it will have a link up where anyone can link to us if
their tag fits the theme. If any/ all of you would like to
be part of the Design Team and make a tag to inspire
people, please get in touch with me. I am going to make this a trial
for the rest of the year, as so few have bothered joining in
lately, and hope it will work out. But I would like to thank those very loyal taggers who always join in -
Chrissie, Wendy, Joan, Michele, and Wilma.
Next week will be the last blog week of this format.
The themes will be published again for a month in advance, and
Carolyn will still be choosing some themes for us.
I hope you will join in, and perhaps advertise the start
of the 'New' Tag Tuesday on your blogs.
And next week there will be a special surprise....

My tag this week has been digitally made.
It shows a cairn that some people built down by the Rhine:

These are called 'stepping stones' and have been built into
many pavements in German towns to honour those
who once lived in the houses there and were imprisoned
and murdered in the Holocaust:

And this is a menhir  (standing stone) here on the street where
I live, and is the oldest part of Kaiserswerth. It almost looks like
it has a face! Back in the Middle ages criminals being
taken to be punished had their heads banged
against the stone....Not everything in the past
was better!

Have a good week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Valerie

  7. Hi Valerie Firstly, thanks for hanging in there , and perhaps a change will attract a lot more interest, although I have enjoyed every week I have been participating in this format. If I can help as an occasional design contributor, I would be happy to assist.
Secondly but not in the least, your narrative about these stones is so interesting and fascinating. Your digital tag is impressive, too. Best wishes with the new style Tag Tuesday, Wilma.
