Hi Everybody!
Thanks to those who entered Wilma's 'peace' challenge, although I was disappointed that not more joined us. On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge, Autumn /Halloween, and I am hosting. As always, tags of all formats are welcome, and I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretations of the theme. I have 2 mixed media tags as inspiration. The first one was made using a piece of vintage canvas which I fringed. I added an image from Gecko Galz and some golden, corrugated card and sewed the layers together. I then used some natural embellishments and ribbon. The dried twigs and flowers are from the bush in front of where I live. I sat the TH little girl in the tree. The sentiment is also from TH. I liked the shadows cast by the morning sun when I made the photo:
This time I cut a square tag from some DP in my stash. I sewed an acetate overlay onto it. My decorations are once again scraps of natural materials, burlap etc all tied together with straw. I cut 2 leaves from some hand-painted paper and sat the little boy on them, after giving him some fairy wings. I added some decorative apples:

Fabulous theme spot on for this time of year. These really are stunning Valerie, love the mix of natural elements with those rich tones and those stitched edges combine and hold them all together so sweetly.

Absolutely stunning tags, Valerie, and a great theme. The shadows from the real sun show off the dimension and texture beautifully; the sunset colour tones are wonderful as are the embellishments, and I love the use of the Paper Dolls.

Finally made an Autumn tag. Sorry I didn't get time to comment on everyone's contributions, but I looked and wow - not only a popular theme, but an amazingly beautiful array of tags. Well done, Valerie - you certainly inspired many this fortnight.
