Recycle and re-use

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge and this time the lovely Valerie is hosting - that's me! For my theme I have chosen recycle and re-use, as I know that crafters always hoard things that might come in useful again - old envelopes,  cardboard,  off-cuts of paper, pretty pictures, onion nets, string etc. etc!

So I'm asking you to use some of your hoarded treasures, and make a tag from them. Any theme or format is welcome, and as always, you have 2 weeks to link to us.

My tag was made from an old Amazon envelope. I die cut the tag and partly peeled it before rubbing some gold paint into it. I glued some black netting behind the TH lady, and gave her some gemstones on her hat. The ribbon was once tied round the neck of a delicious, chocolate Easter Bunny. I sewed round the edges with my machine:

Here I have also used card from some packaging, which was partly peeled. I went round the edges with bronze and then gold paint. The tag was cut from a magazine and glued onto re-used thin card. I punched in the eyelet to hold it all together and used some threads pulled from burlap to tie it up. The sentiment is from a TH set, the key is a found object. I like such grungy pieces:

 I'll be publishing new tags on my blog every couple of days.
