White for reasons unknown made me think of paper, then white cut paper. Scherenschnitte. So I went with that. I made two. This one can lie flat as it has a fold in the middle, but can be opened like a greeting card. I think it'd make a great bookmark.
This tag is a 3-D version of scherenschnitte. To make a 3-D tag just fold a piece of paper in half and make an outline of the shape you want (this would be half the shape of course) and cut around the outlines. Do that again with another piece of paper. Now you have two the same so just plop one on top of the other in the same direction with the fold of the paper in the same direction and stitch along the fold. If you leave the 'tails' of thread you can tie them together later to make the hanging loop. After stitching, carefully bend the paper pieces as you like them.
I'm enjoying everyone's tags very much. What inspiration they are to me and my creative process. Thanks all! *smiles* Norma
