Vintage

What could be more vintage than a swatch of fabric from 18th century kept in the archive of the Foundling Museum? Poor mothers gave up their infants to the hospital, attaching a "token" as an identifier if circumstances allowed them to return and reclaim their child. This forms Britain's largest collection of vintage textiles amounting to 5,000 individual items.
One side of my tag is a postcard reproduction from the Threads of Feeling Exhibition held at the museum in 2010, on the other side embroidered text.
Best wishes Valerie R

  10. Valerie, this is my most favorite tag of all time. The thought of it, the sequins, everything. Gosh this is sweet and breaks my heart.
