Hi everyone,
Here's my tag for this week - I decided to do a masculine tag as I wanted to use the image of my Great Grandfather's friend on a Penny Farthing in the early days of the Raleigh Cycle Company, where they both worked. The concentration on his face says it all!
This is the flattest tag I've made so far - not a Sticky Fixit in sight! BUT I couldn't resist not gluing him down properly so his head and shoulders are slightly 3D! The base was painted with emulsion on a very dry brush and then collaged on top. I used text and a diagram of cycling from a wonderful antique book I have on the subject - I printed them onto acetate and cut out a tag shape, so there are two tags hanging loose from one ribbon, although it's difficult to see in the photos.
I have really enjoyed looking at everyone's tags and would like to say thank you for the lovely comments people have made about my tags. I just haven't had time to comment on all the wonderful work but I really am over-awed at what is being posted by you all.
Have a great week making the next tag.
