Book of Kells Tag

Hi Everyone, I chose the Book of Kells as inspiration for the lettering and decoration for my 'Book' theme this week.
I used tea and distress ink to age the torn paper pages and tag. For the illuminated letters (which spell out Tag Tuesday) I used black and gold Uni Posca markers and Derwent inktense for colour. I added a piece of plaited string to finish. It was great fun to do and I'm very pleased with the end result. Full set of photos on my Blog page

  1. This is a stunning tag. And is the same line as what I was thinking of doing. :-) I will have to have a re-think now.
