sir reginald was a good egg
for feminine love he did beg
through the kingdom he roamed
with the help of the throne
'til he pegged her
he bowed down in awe
all the way to the floor
and curtsied and wooed her with flowers.
but good eggs don't know
that love has its woes
and off with his head
was the outcome
just a silly, whimsical painted egg i drew on and embellished with a doilie picked up from a restaurant, a lid from a spice jar for the hat, a copper bracelet for the necklace and a piece of velvet fabric i had in my stash. i turned an egg cup upside down and used it for the body. then my husband and i worked on a few lines to describe him.
isn't he a character?
