STORY TIME WITH MOTHER GOOSE
I didn't know what I was going to do this week until a friend came over. I was showing her some books and records that I picked up at a resale shop. Lo and Behold, the cover to an old 45 that was "Fun with Mother Goose"! Ah! Inspiration! I decided to look a bit further at the books I had gotten and I found a lovely picture of a "Blizzard of Snow Geese". I liked them both but was unsure of which to use. So, I decided to use them both! I scanned the images and then printed the "Fun with Mother Goose" on transparency paper. I used the snow geese as a background, then layered the transparency over it. "Mother Goose" got really lost in the snow geese so I covered the back side of only Mother Goose with white paper. She was still not quite bright enough so I took oil pastels and enhanced her just a bit more. I cut out the clock on my Vagabond, and added it and the hands to the back. It look like it was missing something, so I cut out letters, distressed them, glued them together and then to the clock. I put the two layers together but it still wasn't quite right. After adding puffy letters (that I painted and then distressed because they were glittery) that spelled out "MOTHER GOOSE" and a couple of distressed butterflies, I felt like I was finally done. I wish the pictures were better so you could see the snow geese below the transparency better. The back of the tag is the backside of the record sleeve that I stamped.

Best Wishes for a creative week!
